Decordova

2010

I began this fallen spaceship piece in 2002, and have continued to revisit and add to it over the past few years. This incarnation is titled “H. Maxwell Fisher and the Space Race: Honorable Mention.” This work was included in the DeCordova Museum's 2010 Biennial show. The exhibit featured the craft and pilot mannequin with suit and gear, and also a host of my constructed ephemera and artifacts of ‘attempted’ flight. For more images, click here.

The text and imagery I used for this exhibit suggest that the entire body of work belongs to, and is on loan from my notional museum, the “American Dream Technical Institute.”
